The "First Aid For All Course"

Our charity work

This course is at the heart of our work, and is the course that when you book it you will not be asked for payment. To continue this work we charge for our other courses and we will kindly accept donations from those attending this free course (suggested donation £10 per person).  As a donation please understand your donation is just that, a donation, it is not expected as this course is FREE - no payment is required. We believe everyone should have access to training that can save lives. We are 'First Aid For All', and this is the "First Aid For All Course".

The "First Aid For All Course" (FAFA)

This course is created by us here at 'First Aid For All'. It is similar to the two hour "Heartstart" course we once delivered under the British Heart Foundation's community training programme that no longer is in operation. Our qualified instructors now deliver this as "The First Aid For All Course", it is a certified course, certified by 'First Aid For All'. Other First Aid Providers have been known to refer to it as 'Basic First Aid' or 'Essential First Aid'.

What the course covers (Our 7 Essentials)

  • "How To Help"  = Primary Survey / Assessing a Casualty
  • "Emergency Plan" = Getting Help Quickly
  • "Choking" = Adult, Baby & Child
  • "Bleeding" = Controlling bleeds
  • "Recovery Position" = Unconscious casualty
  • "Chest Pain" = Angina & Suspected Heart Attack
  • "CPR" = Basic Life Suport / What to do if casualty is not breathing for Adult, Baby & Child

Course Duration

2 hrs, min. Although the course content can be delivered in as little as 2 hours, we would strongly suggest, allowing ideally 2.5 hours for the course duration (if possible) as this allows for a break and additional further good practice. We are here to meet all needs - We are 'First Aid For All'.

When & where?

We normally offer the course in the evenings (eg 7pm - 9pm) or at weekends and can come to you almost anywhere in the West Berkshire and surrounding areas.
